Slate Roof Extension Standish

As part of a larger project to extend their home, this customer called us to complete the roofing works on their house in Standish.

In addition to a new slate roof, the customer also requested the installation of 3 Velux roof windows. These windows posed an additional challenge, as we had to take extra care when sealing to make sure no water would get in where the windows and roof meet. We did this by installing an additional water-tight membrane around the windows that would sit under the slate roofing tiles to provide an extra later of defence against damp.

We worked in sections, completing one portion of roof and one window at a time for this more complex job to ensure each window would be properly sealed and the roof would be water-tight.
